Steve Gilmour has trained for over 20 years with such notable trainers as Bill Wellwood and Stew Firlotte. Going on his own in 1988, he has trained many outstanding individuals as Armbro Pluto, Cloudburst Hanover, Northern Trail and Rampage Hall.

The current stable is comprised of a mix of yearlings and racehorses, owned by large and small groups of individuals. At any one time the number of horses in the stable could range from 10 to as high as 15 horses. The goal is to keep the number of horses under 15 to allow all horses to receive as much individual attention as possible.

Training at both the farm track in addition to training at Mohawk Raceway allows for a change in scenery for the horses and gives the opportunity for all the horses to enjoy regualar turnouts.
